How Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is effected by pH

Understanding Acidosis

The human body needs to take in a balance amount of acid and alkalizing nutrients, to keep in a pH balance. Your daily intake should be 20% acidic and 80% alkalizing.

If this balance is not maintained, the body has to compensate.

It first robs minerals from the bones, joints, muscles, gallbladder and mucousal lining of the digestive track.

When the body robs calcium from the bones you can develop a weak back which after long enough period of time can cause Osteoporosis (low bone density).

Robbing calcium and sodium from the joints, will cause them to start to lock up and crack and after a time the immune system attacks the acidic cells of the joint which might be called "arthritis" by the medical profession.

Minerals robbed from the muscles, ligaments, and tendons, increases the likelihood of an injure or tear. The muscles can get sore (remember the heart is also a muscle).

If it starts to rob minerals from the lining of the intestinal track or if the body tries to eliminate acid through the intestinal track you could develop pain in the intestine (lower abdomen), colitis, diarrhea, crohn's and irritable bowel.

Natural Sodium is often robbed from the lining of the esophagus you can develop heartburn. If enough erosion happens it can prevent the sphincter muscle at the top of the stomach from closing properly which is the cause of acid reflux or GERD. Damage to the esophagus can cause difficulty in swallowing or a narrowing of the esophagus.

When the body gets to the point that it cannot rob minerals it will try to eliminate acid through the bowel, kidneys, skin and respiratory system.

Eliminating through the lungs can cause asthma. If acid settles in the sinus, the body will try to dilute it with mucus, which can result in post nasal drip or sinus problems.

Eliminating through the urinary system can cause blood in the urine and bladder irritation and later on kidney damage.

No more minerals to rob the fluid the cells are bathed in becomes acidic. The body uses enzymes to break down abnormal cells in the body. Enzymes cannot work where there is acid. Therefore, the body cannot protect you from the growth of abnormal cells. That is why they say acid feeds cancer cells. Actually it protects the cancer cells from the immune system which uses enzymes to digest to be eliminated the abnormal cells.

Cells of the tissue of our body, organs, and glands cannot absorb nutrients when the pH is off. So they body's over all health starts to deteriorate. Health conditions which can be caused directly by a pH imbalance are:
Lower back pain Arthritis Sinus problems
Osteoporosis Cracking or stiff joints Heartburn
Acid reflux Gallstones IBS
Crohn's or Colitis Mineral imbalances Fribromyalgia
Lung problems Asthma Cancer Malabsorption of Nutrients

There are some alkalizing herbs, but most of the balance has to be maintained by diet ---> Acidosis- Alkaline/Acid balance diet plus herbs which promote correct pH in the To supplement what has been robbed by the body due to a pH imbalance are: Liquid Chlorophyl (approx. pH 11.6), SKL (Skeletal Strength), Herbal CA , Vitamin Calcium , Slippery Elm , Parsley are also very alkalizing. My favorites are Liquid chlorophyl and SKL.

Acid conditions within the body can contribute to sinus and respiratory problems, acid reflux, arthritis, psoriasis, cancer and more. For a more in-depth diet go to pHfood.htm

Items marked with an * after, I believe, should be cut out completely. Items marked with a + after, should not be used if the source is GMO (genetically modified also called BioEngineered).

Fruits such as oranges and grapefruit and berries such as strawberries can be both acidic and alkalizing depending on ripening. If they are sweet they are alkalizing if they are bitter or sour they are acidifying.

(Modified chart of Dr. Theodore Baroody, Ph.D., N.D.). Your diet should be 80% alkalizing foods and only 20% acidic foods to maintain correct pH balance.

The most common cause of acidosis is coffee and tea consumption, poor diet and/or poor digestion.

If  I had an acid condition I would GRADUALLY adjust my diet to the suggestions above, cut out all tea and coffee and investigate the following formulas:  Colloidal Minerals and Mineral Chi.

Although it is illegal to make claims I am permitted to tell you that minerals such as these formulas have been used historically in hopes to neutralize acid conditions.

Formulas such as: PDA(which contains HCL - Hydrochloric acid. Deficiency symptom may be burping), Proactazyme (which contains enzymes. Deficiency symptom may be flatulence {farting}) or Food Enzymes (which contains both). have been reported by many to help aid digestion.

There is a theory that herbs in a combination much like one called JNT-A can draw out acid from the body.

I believe that your saliva pH should be 6.5 and the Urine should be between 5.5 and 6.8.

Before you start any pH balancing program, please first take your saliva and urine pH with pH testing strips, because, when the body can no longer rob minerals to neuturalize, nor water down with mucus it then will get the liver to produce ammonia which then puts the body into an alkaline state this is very serious and needs the help of a professional to get the pH balance.
